Knockhill Race Circuit is delighted to have Red Bull-sponsored World Rally Championship star Elfyn Evans at the McRae Rally Challenge, sponsored by Beatsons Building Supplies and EventScotland, on Sunday July 3.
The Toyota star will drive classic Toyotas as part of the action of the world’s biggest McRae celebration rally at Knockhill Race Circuit.
Elfin said: “It’s a shame there’s no WRC round in Britain this year so I’m really excited to attend the McRae Rally Challenge weekend which will be a great festival for all the fans.”
The organizers are also delighted to announce that there will be two generations of Evans as Father Gwyndaf takes part in the event in his Ford Escort Mk2.
Gwyndaf said: “I am delighted to be invited to participate in the event. I’m really looking forward to reuniting with all my old friends from the rally world and getting back to my factory MG ZR for the Parade of Champions which will also be fun.
Stuart Gray, Events Director of Knockhill, said: “The addition of Elfyn and Gwyndaf is a real highlight of what is already a special event. That Elfyn, a current WRC star, is taking the time to come to Knockhill is fantastic as he comes straight from a test in Estonia to come to Knockhill. On Sunday he will no doubt be cheering on his dad as Gwyndaf launch his Mk2 Escort on the Knockhill rally stages and big thanks to Red Bull for helping to make this happen.
